Dr. Debasree DasGupta
Dr. Debasree DasGupta

Dr. Debasree Das Gupta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Science. Her education includes: Clemson University, Master of City and Regional Planning (MCRP), and George Mason University Ph.D. in Public Policy in the Schar School of Policy and Government. Prior to Utah State University, she taught at the University of Indianapolis (2014-2017) and began her appointment at Utah State University in 2018. She had taught several courses for our program including:

  • HEP 6020: Introduction to Biostatistics and Epidemiology
  • HEP 6350: Social Determinants of Health
  • HEP 6000: Advanced Program Planning and Evaluation
  • HEP 6450: Research Methods in Population Health

Her current research focuses include place-based disparities focusing on older adults:

  • Older adult falls (indoor/outdoor | institutional)
  • Older adult segregation (urban/rural | older adult health by segregation levels)
